Storia® is Scholastic’s new, free, teacher-recommended e-reading app designed to help kids learn and love to read in a fun and interactive way. Storia comes with five free ebooks and offers a growing digital collection of children’s picture, chapter, and interactive books, plus a selection of “enriched” ebooks that include vocabulary games, comprehension activities, and fun video to boost reading engagement and retention. Other unique features of Storia include audio narration, study tools such as the Highlighter and Note-Taker, and the Storia Dictionary, a customized, age-appropriate dictionary that is embedded into each story. On Storia, parents can set up individual bookshelves for each of their children, purchase new ebooks, and track a child’s reading progress through each book. Parents can see which words their children learned, how many pages they read, and how long they spent reading each day. With safety at the top of their minds, parents never have to worry about their children accessing content outside Storia or purchasing books without their knowledge.
