Triagonal
Board Game, Creative Product, Educational Skills, Travel Item
A challenging game for all ages Triagonal is a fun game because children can improve their thinking skills deciding where to locate sector formers to their advantage, maybe winning them many board sectors. Strategy & Planning Skills are developed as they seek to form six of their tiles into a hexagon to earn bonus points, also while trying for a mid game Instant Win Line or a 3 x 3 x 3 triangle. Challenge is in any game at all times, challenging players to form hexagons, pre-agreed lines, a 3x3x3 triangle or, to win the most sectors of the game board and possibly zoom ahead with any additional bonus points to win and all without helping their opponents. Counting Skills are required where a player must recognise the value rolled and collect the corresponding sector formers to place into board. Addition is required at game end to determine who wins 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places. Eye hand Co-ordination is required when collecting, aligning, and placing sector formers into the board slots which are at three different angles. Geometric designs and tessellations can be created by anyone after gaming, making an extended use of the 204 game pieces and game board if desired. Although there is a basic similarity to a paper based game, Triagonal is improved from the original paper version in many ways. Triagonal could have been larger than 7" x 7" x 7" but it saves on resources through production to final delivery. Triagonal can save paper and pens and be played over for many years ~ used artistically ~ tiles can be used as counters in basic maths and/or geometry. It can be played strategically, using none, one or both dice for different games, played by just one player on their own or, with upto three opponents or, even as a team game. The ‘Eco-Box’ uses less cardboard, weighs less, and is ideal for posting and can be stored almost anywhere Given a Major FUN award also.
