Social e(Motion): The Game about Self Expression is a new charades game that builds social awareness and self-expression. Created with images and ideas from families across the country. Players take turns and act, draw, or describe the emotion shown on photographic Face Cards. The “actor” earns a chip if the other players are able to interpret the emotion, such as happy or sad, angry or annoyed, proud or worried, bored, silly, or excited. Wildcards double the fun with unexpected moves and more chips to win. The Face Cards show “real” expressions of children in different situations, as submitted by their parents. Each photo has a hint to help the player interpret the expression; e.g., “I did it all by myself!” “No one wants to be my friend.” “You didn’t save me a seat.” “I am an alien!” The suggested emotion is written upside down to help the actor as needed. However, since expressions can be interpreted differently, the actor has the final say. The actions on the Wildcards help players express personalities and have fun socializing. For example: “Tell everyone the weirdest food combination you would eat.” “Make a wish (with a rhyme if you can).” “Try to get the person to your right to laugh.” “Say something nice about each player.” Includes a colorful game board, 35 photographic Face Cards, 8 Wildcards, 4 pawns, 44 color chips, dice, paper, and pencils.
