The Original Fortamajig is an inventive, open-ended toy based on the classic childhood play theme of building forts. With no hard pieces to break or lose – the Fortamajig allows kids to build any space anywhere. It is created to be used indoors or outside and comes in two versions that incorporate an ingenious one-piece design. Built of an 8’x8’ square of durable, nylon rip stop, with a mesh window and door, each Fortamajig includes everything a child needs to build a 4-walled fort, teepee, tunnel, shade canopy – whatever they can imagine. Attach the Fortamajig’s adjustable loops to anything stable and watch kids build amazing spaces. Attach its outer stretchy loops to a stair rail and a chair and create an 8’ tunnel. Take the Fortamajig to the park and set it up using a park bench and a tree branch for outdoor adventures and an escape from the sun. Corner pockets have been included on every Fortamajig to facilitate stabilizing your structure. Just place a shoe or tennis ball in the corner pockets as you create your walls and a little breeze will not cause your castle to blow. Each Fortamajig also includes 6 extension loops that are stretchy and adjustable and further a loop’s reach and your construction options. Fortamajig’s are extremely lightweight – our ultra-lightweight single layer is less than 2 lbs. and our double layer reversible model is less than 3 lbs. You can take a Fortamajig anywhere. It rolls up into less than 1 square foot, is machine washable and stores away easily in its matching tote bag.
